I started playing with some of my old pieces by blending them with some new software I have. I remember doing this once before with my watercolors where I took some watercolor paintings and reworked them in Illustrator which made some beautiful digital art.
The top one is a Collage 18 X 24 , I used pastels, cut out some pictures from magazines and then scanned this into my software to make this beautiful new piece of Man’s Confusion.
The bottom piece is a piece I had done for the Small Art Series Gallery, The Bell Peppers are 8 X 10 Oil on Canvas, scanned into the computer to make this collage type Digital Art piece.
I really like the way they both turned out and it goes to show you can re-create any piece of art making it tell a different story.
Let me know what you think about these two creations……..be sure to follow us, like our page and leave comments (we really do read them)
One of the best times to take your sketchbook with you is when you know you will be waiting for a period of time. Here are some of my idle time drawings where I did some “Cross Hatching Drawings” with pens. It really helps the time go by quickly. These are with the Micron 02 and 05 pens. You can view more of our works at http://chinue.imagekind.com/Smallartseries, thanks for following. Be sure to like our page as we continue on our journey of art and leave a comment we really do read them…
My new project is the Artist Trading Cards. Each one of these small pieces is 2.5 X 3.5 . I bought the Canvas Paper for oils but they also have the ones for Pastels, Charcoal, and Water Color. You get about 10 cards per pack and since they are already treated you can just paint, glue, stamp or whatever you want. I have seen some very creative cards online.
I love to paint small as you know by my Small Art Series Paintings which start at 8 X 10 but I must admit painting on this small-scale 2.5 X 3.5 is really a challenge. It will be interesting to see where this leads me.
We spent the day at the Chalk Art Festival and Classic Car Show in Pasadena, Ca (Father’s Day 2015) I was my first time attending this festival so I was excited and amazed at all the amazing artist that were there creating and sharing their unique style of art. Art comes in many forms, mediums and creations and I do not think we will ever get to see all of them in one life time. It was a nice warm day, people came from near and far for this yearly event. Feel free to leave comments, like our page and please follow us this summer for more festivals………….
Well the summer months have arrived and the city festivals have started. Kicking things off is the Cherry Festival Parade which is every year right downtown. It was especially good this year because my grand-daughter was in it with the drill team so you know I was proud.
You have CHP, City Police Dept, City Council, Small Businesses, and yes all the Classic cars auto show. The High School Band, Drill Teams, Queens and Princesses, Classic Fire Trucks and then Summer Time Fun in the park with rides for the kids and plenty of junk foods for young and old.
Yes small town coming together in a community way. Next up is the Lavender Festival………l
Keep following this summer for more fun…..like our page, leave a comment……we are almost at 500 blogs (can you believe that) Wow. Life is a process and with each process we are supposed to grow, learn and reflect. We are now well into 2015. We have been painting, cleaning out the remnants of 2014 by shredding old paperwork.
Currently we are working on our inventory of art supplies, our inventory of art, and our goals for this new year. Were ordering new canvas, new brushes and drawing new ideals in our sketchbook.
We recently went to the Free day at one of the LA Museums. Since it was free, there were a lot of people.
Art is an ever-growing, ever-expanding career and there are so many new and exciting artist and their works are just amazing. From an idea to a vision to a concept that is the process of art and that process is ever-changing in the mind of an artist.
