Today we painted A bell pepper, white onion, and potatoes
We used watercolor pencils to sketch out first. The watercolor pencils will blend well with most paints. We used #ArtistLoft Crimson Red, Viridian Green, Yellow Ochre and #Premium Chinese White , round soft watercolor brush, and watercolor pad 6×6.
When I did this in my sketchbook I decided I wanted to do it on canvas so I could frame it.
This is #Watercolor on canvas pad textured 12 × 16 .
After the paint dried I went in with a #BlackSharpie to bring out more details.
Since May seems to be Mermaid month its the perfect setting.
So let me know what your thoughts are in the comments. Like, follow and be sure to get on our email list.

Yesterday I woke up feeling OK but as the day progressed I came to realize how we as humans are programmed and mentally conditioned for these holidays. Even if you chose not to be involved there will always be someone who will wish you a “Happy” what ever the holiday is.
Why does everyone assume you spent time with family or friends. Why do they assume you attended a church service.
These holidays are man made and the only profit is retail sales with people feeling guilty so they buy gifts.
So as I asked the question “What happen yesterday” I respond with nothing happen it was just another day.

Its here the count down for the new year has started. People are heading to different places to be ready for the celebration of the new year. Have you ever thought that maybe you are the celebration. You and your creative energy are a celebration every time you step into a room.

We are looking forward to what 2018 will manifest.
I bought these boxes to paint on. I’m learning to paint on wood instead of just canvas. I’m using the Winsor and Newton water mixable oils for this process
You can click on the link to Blick Art Supplies to see all the wonderful colors they come in. I get all my art supplies from them.
I am really enjoying this learning experience with wood

This is the current painting Im working on. What I like most about it is there are not a lot of colors but more blending of the colors being used.
We had the pleasure of attending the grand opening of a new gallery. The Theshold Art Gallery is located in Redlands, California. It is always so inspiring when someone makes their dream come true. We met some amazing artist Lynn Richards, Cindy Rinne and Aeron Brown.
It was an amazing night.
